Flea Treatments

Any pet found to have fleas will be treated with either Capstar (oral medications which kills all fleas on the pet) or a pyrethrin based flea shampoo. Neither of these products have any residual effect. We recommend all pets be on a flea preventative prescribed by their veterinarian. They will then receive a soothing bath in Tropiclean oatmeal shampoo to aid in any flea dermatitis. Flea treatments are at the parents’ expense.
